I graduated from Brock University in 1995 with a Bachelor of Accounting and obtained my CA designation in 1996. I continued my education by attending the In-Depth tax course (covering both corporate and personal taxes) and the In-Depth Provincial Sales Tax Course with the Institue of Chartered Accountants. The completion of these courses have allowed me to better serve corporations and individuals in all areas of business.
From 1992 to 2010, I was employed by a medium sized public accounting firm where I progressed to the role of senior manager. I have extensive experience working with owner-managed businesses and individuals to complete their accounting and taxation requirements. As a manager, I handled a block of corporate accounts on both an on-going and annual basis providing owner-managers with advice throughout the year and at their year-end. During the months of March and April, I prepared and reviewed several personal tax returns and met with high net-worth individuals to ensure that their tax returns were complete and accurate. I also played a regular role in the preparation, review and filing of corporate payroll reports and trust returns.
On a more personal note, I have lived in Milton since I was young. I am a wife and a mother of two teenagers who compete within the Milton Soccer and Baseball associations. I myself formerly participated in the Women's Hockey League here in Milton during the winter months and still participate in the Co-ed softball league during the summer. Time permitting, which is rare, I enjoy a round of golf too!
I am a member of the Halton Multiple Sclerosis Society and consult for independent non-profit associations.
